Ray Romano, Phil Rosenthal return for ‘Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion Pt. 2’

Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal are returning to host a second installment of theEverybody Loves Raymond30th anniversary special next week.

Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion Pt. 2 will see Rosenthal, who wrote and created the series, and Romano, who played everyone's favorite Ray Barone, revisit even more key moments from the beloved CBS sitcom, which aired for nine seasons 1996 until 2005.

The special promises to reveal “exclusive stories and heartfelt memories shared by beloved cast members gathered together to honor one of TV’s most iconic sitcoms,” per a press release.

“Ray Romano and Phil Rosenthal share their thoughts on the magic of being back on set and reuniting with the cast,” it continues. “Additionally, viewers can enjoy never-before-seen content, outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage. Plus, guest stars, writers and producers will provide unique insights into the creation and legacy of this beloved series.”

The second special comes after the success of Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion, which aired last month. The program saw Romano and Rosenthal revisit the Raymond set and share memories with fellow stars Patricia Heaton, who played Ray’s wife Debra, and Brad Garrett, who played Ray’s brother Robert, and more.

They also explained that they would never do a reboot of the series out of respect for their late costars, Sawyer Sweeten, Doris Roberts, and Peter Boyle.

"We're never gonna do one, because we're missing three cast members, three family members," Romano said. "So we would never try to do the show without them."

Rosenthal agreed that it “wouldn’t be the same.” He added, "We have too much respect for the show itself and for the beautiful audience…to keep it the way it is, and, thankfully, the show is still on every day, all over the world. If you want to visit your friends, we're here."

Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion Pt. 2 airs Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.
