Lebanese health officials say at least 39 people were killed after a new wave of Israeli air strikes hit several areas across southern Lebanon, as tensions between Israel and the armed group Hezbollah continue to escalate despite previous ceasefire efforts.
According to Lebanon’s health authorities, the lebanon israeli strikes which is one of the deadliest strikes reportedly hit the town of Saksakiyeh, where multiple casualties were recorded, including civilians. Several others were also injured during the attacks.

Additional strikes were reported in other parts of southern Lebanon, including areas near Nabatieh. Lebanese officials claimed some of the attacks involved repeated drone strikes after initial impacts, raising concerns about civilian safety in the affected regions.

Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah have continued for months, with both sides accusing each other of carrying out attacks despite international calls for restraint. Southern Lebanese communities near the border have experienced repeated bombardments, leading to widespread displacement and damage to infrastructure.
Israeli officials say military operations are intended to prevent attacks on northern Israeli communities and to weaken Hezbollah’s military capabilities near the border region. Hezbollah, on the other hand, says its actions are a response to ongoing Israeli military activity in Lebanon and the wider regional conflict.
Human rights organizations and international observers have continued to express concern over the growing humanitarian impact of the fighting, especially on civilians living in border areas.
As tensions remain high, diplomatic efforts to reduce violence in the region continue, though no major breakthrough has been announced.
